I,Welfare, have desided to leave the hookers(good luck guys)in favour of a new band. Terry Legal chose(a great thing i think) to continue playning guitar with me and is a founder/member of the new band. Also, a freak from bands like Electric Sherrif and Johnny and the remains pumps the bass and having a few drummers running through the "Welfare system" one guy came out as a clear choise. Great drummer!! The vocal part likevise, one guy just sung half a verse and my choise was made. Now we are working on getting descent equiment together, play a lot rehrerseal and then play some quality music on stages and whatnot... So, Sorry as I am to leave the hookers, it just got to a point where I felt that my ideas and efforts did not correspond with the other members, and by quitting I ended a line of good times and music in a great band and in the same move giving them the chance to improve. I gave it some consideration, and realized that maybe I was holding them back. So, I really look forward to see the Harbour Hookers next show and studio release. Dont wait to long guys. seeya

Once again I (N.W.) have been out on a trip to europe, this time to a nice place in spain called Tarragona.(HAIL CATALONIA, hehe)Needless to say, being the prima guitar player that I am, I ended up on a radioshow to talked about the Hookers.This show and some photos will soon be out on this site. We got a call from our long time bud Maciek that UFFA had a little problem. Two swedish bands were supposed to play,but they got stuck in the mountains somewhere, so they needed someone to replace them. We got the call round six o clock and did the gig around midnight...what can I say,free beers! The people booking bands at this place really acts in funny ways.Anyways, we did a good gig and the rest of the bands were ok.Fuckers....

We have somehow gotten another 5 tracks down, and are in the prossess of mixing and mastering the songs. Most likely this will be our third 5 track EP. We have limited(read:NO) budget, so we have to do it like this. And we dont care, but we might be tempted to do a full lenght album or maybe re-record some old tracks or release a 7" or 10" vinyl or maybe even a dvd with some live takes.Or maybe we wont release nothing at all.We work in mysterious ways. We play HARD rock with lyrics about, well...Point is, if you want to experience a real band(meaning NO relations with any of the wave of bands trailing the rock fashion period,NO politics,or if there are they are not meant to be politacal statements.Afterall, we play music for kicks and if someone takes any of our stage act or lyrics badly and get offended... This weekend Eat the Rich is taken place in svartlamon, Trondheim. But because the music scene is pickin up good it`s worth attending. Anyway, it`s been silent from the Hookas for a while and we thougt it might add some depth to this political music event by play some new tunes at the scum of the slum festival. This is also taken place in svartlamon, and it seems that good-times and rock for kicks is the objective on this stage. Good-times and rock for kicks(Or rock just for rockin out for the sake of rockin out)sounds like the place for the hookers. So, if ya want harbourrock this weekend, let those around you know. We like gigs and will be there enjoying and fuckin our selfs up, and if people want some full force noise, we`ll plug in, make sound, act lewd and cruel... and play hard .And if people do not, we wont.Then We`ll just check out the bands and those checkin out the bands. Our nasjonaldayis over, and the ho`s are making new songs to record and release. As you might have noticed at the latest gigs, we are now a four-piece band. Guitarist Ron Obviuos has left the band(for Obviuos reasons...)and by that we lost a rock steady songwriter and guitarist. (Hail from us man, keep it up) But we took upon us to practice harder, and realising that the new songs we have laid down is fuckin rippin`. Last night was a ball! Easy start at isak with burgers and sodas, then of to Blæst for a great event. Great Backstage arrangments, quality bands and great sound and lights!!And with a night dedicated to Motorhead, it is obviously gonna attract a crowd. Needless to say we were just great, but it has to be said that Trondheim metal band Manifest were fuckin smashing!! I was totally blown away by their performance. If you were there you know, if you were not you are a fool. ALL IN ALL A GOOD NIGHT!!-N.W-

Another review will be printed in the italian magazine FLASH. I am really not sure when this get printed, but i got the impression that the April issue is the one. We will get it in english on this page as soon as we get the magazine. Another thing to check out on RRAF is the shakedown forum where some guy seemed really personally angry about our performance at UFFA 4 mars. Great! We are glad to piss people off. But we had fun, the place was packed and maybe if this guy had been able to loosen up he might have some fun as well. But he was there,obviusly, and I agree the sound was crap. Saturday`s nights release gig with Beinhard was a cool experience. Beinhard got on stage first and rocked the shit out of that place. Then we took the stage for an hour and, this goes without saying, we were just great. Yesterday I got a gift from this guy(Detta var gøy ja, kult Hugo) who followed us on some gigs in the winter of 2004/2005 and always carried a videocamera. I have never seen these tapes and had lots of fun seeing again Live moments that my brain has erased from my memory. He (Hugo-C.R.C) not only taped us, but took the time and effort to mix them together in a surprisingly cool way with the song "More of that stuff) as soundtrack. That`s something I really enjoyed seeing, and hope you will enjoy seeing the hooker winter of 04/05 through the eyes of the Crazy Rebell Crew. The poster promised an unforgettable weekend, and flashed over 20 acts. We got invited to play and promote ourselfs, and got told that at least two people "In the scene" came too see us and book us in northern norway. We thought that sounded great, and since we cant afford saying no to free food and shelter, we spent the weekend at the hotel where it all went down. Only problem was...no one showed! No paying audience, no people from "The Scene" and to top it of nearly all acts cancelled or simply did not show. At arravial we were told to feel lucky to get some 15 minutes to show ourselfs to "the scene". We ended up being asked to play for an Hour. It was a nice reherseal, and we had some seriuos fun at the hotel. Pictures from this weekend will soon be posted on this site. WE DID NOT UNDERSTAND THIS, BUT THANX FOR THE FREE GRUB!!!

Fantastic night, the place was packed, the crowd really into it and we were totaly wasted. The guys in B.G were great and we had a real good time. At soundcheck I realized how much they fuckin make their music BOUNCE!!! GREAT!! The gig is a bit of a blur for me(N.Welfare) but looking back, i remember this as good night( and they are rare) THANX GUYS

We´re finally getting back into the studio to record the final pieces of our upcoming EP.
